What 6° Academy Does?
In the initial set-up of 6° Network for Women we provided vocational, professional and skills training programmes for marginalised and underprivileged women to be able to find work or set up their own small business. This was the origin of our foundation.
6° Academy partners with local project partners to run training programmes for our candidates. So far we have completed one professional drivers programme, one wildlife guide programme and a second professional drivers programme. We aim to provide continuous support and ongoing skills training based on the needs of our graduates.
In consultation with SVSI, the local government in Chitwan and the Musahar community, a Women’s Farming Initiative has been set up, led by the Musahar women to train the Musahar how to grow vegetables.
